What's Covered
- All-Risk insurance for general goods and merchandise
- Cover includes war (for sea/air), strikes, and riots (Institute Clauses)
- Shipments by sea, land, air - including during transshipment and consolidation
- Return shipments (if goods are not unpacked)
- Temporary storage for up to 30 days if incidental to transit
- Valuation basis: Invoice + Freight + 10%
- Covers damage from public authority actions related to pollution hazard prevention
Important Conditions
- Insurance must be purchased before the cargo is dispatched
- Premiums are due upon confirmation with your assigned manager
- Goods must be suitably packed for the intended voyage
What's Not Covered
- Goods misdeclared to customs or confiscated due to IP violations
- Internal faults without visible external damage
- Damage to unpacked or second-hand goods (unless reconditioned)
- Items being processed, manufactured, or tested
- Misappropriation from storage
- Cargo in excluded countries (see next section)
Excluded Countries
Insurance does not cover shipments to or from the following countries unless specifically declared and accepted:
Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bhutan, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Cuba, DemocraticRepublic of Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya,Mali, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Nicaragua, Nigeria, North Korea, Russia, Somalia, South Sudan, State of Palestine,Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Yemen, Zimbabwe.
Coverage Limits
- £500,000 per vessel, aircraft, vehicle, or storage location
- First-loss basis - no average applied
- Deductible: £0 unless otherwise stated for fragile or special goods

- Commercial invoice
- Shipping documents (e.g. bill of lading)
- Delivery receipts
- Damage evidence (photos, surveys)
- Police report (for theft or robbery)
