Introduction
Thank you for choosing ChinaExpert (UTEC Ltd.) These Terms and Conditions apply to all shipments without purchased insurance. By using our services, you agree to these terms. For full coverage, we strongly recommend purchasing additional insurance.
Compensation Policy
Lost or Detained Shipments
If your shipment is lost or irreversibly detained during transit and cannot be recovered within:
- Air Transport: 60 days from the shipment date.
- Rail/Truck Transport: 90 days from the shipment date.
- Sea Freight: 120 days from the shipment date.
Compensation includes:
- Refund of the total shipping cost.
- Compensation of up to USD10 per kilogram, capped at the invoice value of the goods.
Non-Compensable Situations
No compensation will be provided for losses caused by:
- Customs Issues:
Seizures due to counterfeit goods, trademark infringement,missing/inaccurate documentation, or non-compliance with regulations. - Force Majeure:
Strikes, natural disasters, war, pandemics, or other unavoidable events. - Customer Errors:
Incorrect addresses, product descriptions, declared values, or poor packaging (e.g., fragile items not secured). - Delivery Delays:
Flight cancellations, port congestion, customs inspections, or carrier schedule changes. - Damage/Shortages:
Visible damage noted on the carrier’s report or missing items.
Your Responsibilities
Customs Clearance:
- Provide accurate documentation (e.g., invoices, certificates) for smooth customs clearance.
- Storage fees or penalties due to customs errors will be your responsibility.
Delivery Attempts (UK):
- Local delivery includes one attempt.
- Private addresses: Track shipments closely to avoid returns.
- Re-delivery costs for returned shipments will be charged to you.
Claims Process
Reporting Issues
- Lost/Damaged Shipments:
- Submit a claim within 3 business days of the last tracking update.
- Provide:
Invoice and packing list.
Photos of damaged items.
Carrier’s Proof of Delivery (POD). - UPS/DPD/Royal Mail Delays:
- Report missing deliveries within 3 business days after collection
Claims Denial
Claims submitted after deadlines or with incomplete documentation will not be processed.
Insurance Recommendation
- Limited Liability: The above compensation is capped. For full protection, add insurance during checkout.
- Comprehensive Insurance:
- Covers 100% of your cargo’s invoice value against loss, damage, delays, and most non-compensable risks

Force Majeure
We reserve the right to suspend services during events beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, political unrest).
